Workflow automation

A private automation tool run by its developer (madesh6554 on GitHub) on their own Google and YouTube accounts. It is not a public service and does not accept sign-ups.

What it does

The tool reads the statistics of the developer's own YouTube videos (views, likes and comments) and updates those videos' titles to show the latest numbers, for example:

Song Title | Live Stats: 173 Views · 6 Likes

It checks the numbers periodically and changes a title only when they have changed. The video's description, tags, category and other details are kept exactly as they are.

Google permissions

The tool signs in with Google OAuth and requests the scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.force-ssl, which it uses only to read and update the metadata of videos on the channel that authorized it.
